JAMES BOND – A MATTER OF EXCELLENCE

“Vodka Martini. Shaken, not stirred.” ~James Bond

When I saw my first James Bond film, “GoldenEye”, in 1996, I was immediately hooked and became a fan shortly after. Twenty years have passed since and I have become very active in the Bond fanworld.

THE BOND BULLETIN

Since 2012, I am the Editor-in-Chief of “The Bond Bulletin” – a James Bond News and Information blog website. Providing insights about the making of the films as well as in-depth coverage of all aspects connected to the franchise and the literary character, I met many wonderful people through my work.

In April 2014, I was one of the founding members of the James Bond Club Germany e.V. and hold an advisory position in its executive committee since then. Together, we organize events and regional meetings, publish the annual club magazine “Gunbarrel” and act as partner for the Cinestrange Filmfestival in Braunschweig.

So far, my duties for the club have included designing the honorary membership certificates, the administration of the YouTube channel, production of official club videos as well as the liaison with the Cinestrange Filmfestival and looking after its Bond related guests during their stay.

As part of the global James Bond fandom, our club has integrated very well in a rather short amount of time – a clear sign, that Bond is very much relevant. We are in constant contact with both the James Bond Club Switzerland as well as the Club James Bond France.

MEETING BOND STARS

In recent years, I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a number of Bond stars. These encounters are always exciting for every fan and I am certainly no exception. Here is a gallery of the stars I was fortunate enough to have met in person.
