“Telling stories can be quite exhausting…but the fun is endless!”
THE FINAL CUT (Horror Short, 2008)
This is a black & white short film I made after I caught a spectacular thunderstorm on camera where lightning struck the cross of a church. Many ideas came to me how to re-use the captured footage and this horror short was the result. The story centered around a writer who just can’t find the ending for one of his stories but is under pressure to meet the deadline. Instead, he meets his maker in a gruesome way. The audio is in german without subs. Storywise the film has some lengths, but which horror film hasn’t?
A BOND FOR LIFE (Feature Documentary, 2016)
The idea for my first feature film literally came over night. I wanted to tell the story, of how James Bond had changed my life in the past 20 years – from seeing “GoldenEye” in 1996 until the present. Filming began in April 2014 and it took 17 months to complete the project. Filmed on location in seven countries and over 130 individual locations, the documentary is a labour of love and equally tribute to the James Bond film series. The film is also dedicated to Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.
Notable guest appearances include actresses Luciana Paluzzi, Martine Beswick, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Nikki van der Zyl as well as actors Mads Mikkelsen, Götz Otto and Derek Lyons. Furthermore, film composer David Arnold as well as Academy Award winners Don Black and Sir Ken Adam have contributed interviews.
From the beginning, I did not want to make money with the film but instead realise it as a charity project in support of UNICEF. The World Premiere in Braunschweig, Germany, raised 2.500 Euros for the UNICEF aid operation in Syria. The following screenings in Spain and Switzerland raised another 1.000 Euros. A definite highlight was to present the film at the 5th Cinestrange Filmfestival in Braunschweig with Bond Girls Caroline Munro (“The Spy Who Loved Me”) and Martine Beswick (“From Russia With Love”, “Thunderball”) in attendance.
